Lemon Garlic Asparagus


  • 1 T. Olive oil
  • 1 T. Butter
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 bag frozen asparagus
  • Fresh Parmesan (Optional)

For fresh asparagus, use blanching method: bring a pot of water to boil, toss in asparagus, let water return to boil and then remove from heat. OR prepare frozen asparagus according to package directions.

While asparagus is cooking, heat olive oil and butter in a non-stick skillet.  Saute garlic for about 1 minute.  Add cooked asparagus and toss in garlic sauce.  Salt and pepper to taste. Add juice from ½ a lemon and toss.  Add fresh Parmesan if desired and garnish with slices from other ½ of lemon.  Serve immediately.
