Chicken & Sausage Gumbo w/Cajun Gumbo Base

Our Cajun Gumbo Base is a frozen concentrate designed for chicken, sausage, and seafood made with a dark roux, okra, Louisiana Trinity (onions, celery, & bell pepper) and our signature spice blend.  Add water or broth, a combination of chicken, sausage, and/or shrimp, and season to taste.  Traditionally served over rice but delicious served as an open faced Po-boy served over crusty garlic buttered French bread.




  • 2# (1 Tray) Gumbo Base
  • 4 c. Water or chicken broth
  • 2# Cooked chicken, smoked sausage, crab, or shrimp
  • Salt or Cajun Seasoning to taste

  • Simmer gumbo base and water or broth for 20 minutes.
  • Add protein of choice (cooked chicken, sausage, and/or shrimp)
  • Simmer 7 minutes.
  • Season to taste.
